Céim Aniar CTR will launch a new Irish-language website, designed and built by Margaíocht Sháile, to coincide with Seachtain na Gaeilge, which runs from Sunday 1 March to St Patrick’s Day, 17 March 2026.

The new website will launched on Wednesday morning, 6 March, at the Céim Aniar office in Áras Ros Goill, Na Dúnaibh, where locals gathered for a coffee morning to mark the occasion.

Céim Aniar was founded in 2001 to promote the Irish language and culture within the local Gaeltacht community. Over the past two decades it has delivered after-school activities, youth and adult drama, instrumental music classes, Irish language courses, and publishes the local magazine Guth Ghoill. It also leads the Language Planning Area for North Donegal.

The new website is fully Irish-language and reflects the organisation’s commitment to placing Irish at the centre of its communications. Built on a WordPress platform, it enables Céim Aniar Teoranta to manage news updates, event listings and its online shop directly, giving the group greater control over its digital presence.

The platform incorporates enhanced search engine optimisation tools aimed at strengthening the organisation’s online visibility and expanding its reach among Irish speakers and learners. The site has been designed with clear navigation and a straightforward layout, allowing visitors to access information on courses, events, resources and the online store with ease.

The launch during Seachtain na Gaeilge underlines Céim Aniar CTR’s continued efforts to strengthen the visibility and everyday use of Irish within the Ros Goill community, both in person and online.

Managing Director of Margaíocht Sháile, Oilibhéar Mac Giolla Bhríde, thanked Céim Aniar for the opportunity to build the website, saying:

“Working on projects that help promote and preserve the Irish language is something we hold close to our hearts in Margaíocht Sháile. Understanding the importance of what the website means to that particular community is the difference between us and other web design agencies.

“We want to build a platform for the future, not just for today.”
